Uzor Osimkpa Lands Female Sub Lead Role of “Nkiru” in Upcoming TASC Feature Film – La Femme Anjola

Months after what was a grueling audition process, another piece of the La Femme Anjola pie has been served. As Pre-Production begins on TASC’s upcoming Film Noir feature film; La Femme Anjola, CEO and Co-Founder; Mildred Okwo today announced that the talented Uzor Osimkpa is our NKIRU. The character Nkiru is the female sub lead in what is gearing up to be The Audrey Silva Company’s most ambitious project yet. Asides flirting with a rarely visited genre for us over here, there is also talk of an International release for La Femme Anjola.
“La Femme ANJOLA” is a psychological thriller film noir about a young stockbroker whose life is turned upside down when he falls in love with a beautiful woman; a femme fatale married to a crook. La Femme Anjola is currently in pre-production. Written by Tunde Babalola (The Meeting), La Femme is to be directed by Mildred Okwo. Rita Dominic will star in the leading role as Anjola.

Born Uzoma Oluchi Osimkpa, Uzor started her career on stage in 2000 and has featured in over 30 different stage productions within the period of 4 years before her TV debut on “Shallow Waters” in 2004. Since her debut, she has featured in several movies and TV series including “Power must change hands”, MNET’s “Doctor’s Quarters” where she played the role of Omarosa, “Edge of Paradise” and the rave-making “Tinsel”. She is the Lead Act on TV sitcoms “About to Wed” & “Half Sisters”. On stage, she played the role of “Oluronbi” in “Oluronbi – The Musical” & the role of Rubiewe, an African adaptation of Walt Disney’s “Beauty & the beast”.

And now that we have Nkiru, we hope the ever cryptic Producer/Director; Mildred Okwo will unveil our Male Sub Lead and Female/Male Lead actors before the anticipation kills us all!
